The original part of Corralejo is based in the old harbor. The nearby beach ‘Playa la Clavellina’ offers marvelous swims for everyone. Fishing from the wall of the harbor is a popular way to pass time. Corralejo has a beautiful main road lined by palms, trees, shops, restaurants, bars, and even two Shopping centres: Las Palmeras and El Campanario.
The town is surrounded by sand dunes and kilometers of sandy beaches that form a natural park. The beaches between the Punta de Tivas and the Tres Islas hotels-called Playa del Pozo, Playa del Médano, and Playa del Viejo- lie side by side. These beaches are ideal for surfing, swimming, and diving.
Circles of stone make up a barrier against the wind for those who just want to enjoy the sunny climate of Fuerteventura.
Some of these beaches are used by naturalists. However, naturalists generally prefer to be on the beaches found further from the resource centres. La Playa de Pozo seems to be the most popular for this.
